This is a petition under Section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of 1 year to conclude the arbitration proceedings and make and publish the Arbitral Award.

It is stated that there were some proceedings pending before the NCLT and therefore, the arbitration proceedings could not be completed within the stipulated time.

respondent accepts notice and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 7.

I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown for the delay. 8.

For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a period of 1 year to conclude the arbitral proceedings and publish the Arbitral Award 9.

The period from 31.07.2024 till today stands regularized. 10.

The petition is allowed and disposed of.
