By way of present petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR bearing No. 433/2024, registered at Police Station Aman Vihar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Section 376 of the Indian Penal The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012 (hereafter 'POCSO Act'). 4.

Issue notice. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State. 5.

The petitioner and respondent no. 2 appeared before this Court. They have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police Station Aman Vihar, Delhi.

Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that the petitioner and respondent no. 2 were in relationship with each other. Consequently, respondent no. 2/victim became pregnant and on 08.07.2024, she gave birth to a baby girl, whereupon, the petitioner had refused to marry the victim/respondent no.2. Thereafter, respondent no. 2 had filed a complaint against the petitioner which culminated into the present FIR. 7.

It is stated that both the parties have amicably settled the present matter and respondent no.2, by way of an affidavit dated 26.07.2025, has given her no objection if the FIR is quashed. 8.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no.2 who has been identified by the concerned IO, has categorically stated that she has entered into compromise out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by respondent no. 2 that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties. Respondent no. 2 further states that she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 9.

This Court takes note of the fact that the parties were in relationship and have been married, after registration of the FIR i.e. in the month of December, 2024. The victim herein is of now 18 years of age. The respondent no. 2 has not supported the prosecution case in her statement recorded under Section 164 of Cr.P.C.

Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, without any coercion and no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 433/2024, registered at Police Station Aman Vihar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Section 376 of IPC and Section 6 of POCSO Act and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

In view of the above, the present petition stands disposed of. 13.
