The present petition is directed against the order dated 04.11.2016, whereby charges have been framed in the case arising out of FIR No. 262/2016 dated 16.04.2016.

Ms. Kavitha, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the said FIR arose out of a neighborhood quarrel, and that the family of the petitioner has also lodged a cross FIR against the family of the complainant [respondent No.2 herein], being FIR No. 263/2016, registered at P.S. R.K. Puram on 16.04.2016. She further submits that, in both cases, the parties do not wish to proceed further. In fact, the accused in the said cross FIR, have already filed CRL. M.C. No. 2768/2025 seeking quashing thereof.

petition, with liberty to file afresh, seeking quashing of FIR No. 262/2016 on the basis of the aforesaid submissions.

Mr. Fahim Khan, learned counsel for the complainant in the present FIR [respondent No.2 herein], confirms the aforesaid position and submits that the parties do not wish to proceed with the criminal proceedings, and that respondent No.2 is willing to enter into a settlement with the complainant in the cross FIR.

In view of the above, the petition, alongwith the pending applications, is dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty as aforesaid.
