This application seeks early hearing of the petition. For the grounds and reasons stated in the application, the same is allowed and with the consent of both the counsels, the writ petition is called on Board today itself. 2.

The Petitioners claim to be the legal heirs of Late Sh. Mahipal, who, according to the jamabandi placed on record, was the recorded bhumidar in respect of the subject land situated in Village Chak Chilla, District South East Delhi. It is stated that upon the demise of Late Sh. Mahipal on 21st July, 2010, the Petitioners inherited his share in the subject land by succession The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. and accordingly submitted an application dated 09th December, 2022 before the Tehsildar, Defence Colony seeking mutation of the land in their favour. The grievance of the Petitioners is that despite repeated follow-up representations, the said application has not been processed till date. 4.

Counsel for the Petitioners submits that the subject land has not been urbanised and therefore continues to be governed by the provisions of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954. It is contended that there is no legal impediment to the mutation being recorded in favour of the Petitioners in accordance with law.

It is further pointed out that in respect of the same subject land, this Court in W.P.(C) 3667/2024, preferred by certain co-owners, vide order dated 12th March, 2024, had directed the concerned authorities to conclude the mutation proceedings within a time-bound period. 6.

Having regard to the aforenoted circumstances and considering the limited nature of the relief sought in the present petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to the Respondents to consider and decide the Petitioners' mutation application dated 09th December, 2022 (Annexure P3), in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from today. 7.
