The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner- Saboatkhon Yusupova under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking release of the gold jewellery, weighing 149 grams, belonging to the Petitioner seized by the Customs Department vide detention receipt bearing no. 52860 dated 9th March, 2024.

According to the Petitioner, she is a citizen of Uzbekistan and was travelling to New Delhi on 9th March, 2024 by flight no. HY 423. Upon arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, the Petitioner was intercepted by the concerned officials of the Customs Department and the said gold jewellerywas detained by the Customs Department. However, this position is disputed by Mr. Singla, ld. SCC on the ground that the Petitioner is a repeat offender and has been detained for the fourth time with gold jewellery.

Ld. Counsel for the Petitioner denies the said allegation qua the Petitioner.

At this stage, the Petitioner is informed that the Order-in-Original has been passed by the Customs Department in this matter. Ld. Counsel for the Petitioner seeks permission to avail of its remedies against the said Order-inOriginal in accordance with law. 7.

Accordingly, since the Order-in-Original is stated to have been passed in this matter, let a copy of the same be supplied to the ld. Counsel for the Petitioner within one week.

The Petitioner is permitted to avail of her legal remedies in accordance with law by filing an appeal assailing the Order-in-Original . 9.

The present petition is disposed of in above terms. Pending applications, if any, are also disposed of.
