Petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 191/2022 of PS Uttam Nagar for offence under Section 498A/406/34 IPC on the ground that complainant de facto (respondent no.2) has compromised the disputes with the petitioners. 2.

However, there are two aspects, which cannot be ignored. Firstly, the FIR mentions serious allegations of forced abortion as well as rape by one of the petitioners. Secondly, the respondent no.2 present in Court and identified by IO/SI Sumita Sehrawat submits that she is not satisfied with the settlement and her stridhan is yet to be returned. 3.

At this stage, learned counsel for petitioners on instructions of his clients seeks permission to withdraw this petition with liberty to raise all grounds as defences in trial.
