The learned counsel for the petitioners fairly submits that the issue raised in the present petition has been decided against the petitioners in the Judgement dated 06.11.2023 passed by the High Court of Himachal Pradesh in W.P.(C) 49/2017, titled Comptroller and Auditor General of India &Anr. v. Special Leave Petition against the same also stands dismissed by the Supreme Court.

He submits that post the dismissal of the SLP, the petitioners had also preferred a Review Petition before the High Court of Himachal Pradesh, which also stands dismissed. 3.

He submits that in view of the above, Circular No. 6- Staff (Appt.III)/2025 No 70 - Staff (Appt.) III)/165-2024 dated 29.01.2025, has been issued by the Director General (Staff), Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, granting the relief claimed by the respondents herein.

The learned senior counsel for the respondents does not oppose the above submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners. 5.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
