Learned counsel for the petitioner confines to seeking that the application filed by the petitioner before the Office of Additional District Magistrate, Central District, New Delhi, under Section 23 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, be decided expeditiously.

It is submitted that the said petition was filed as far back as 2020 and there is no prospect of the same being decided within a reasonable period of time. It is submitted that the petitioner is more than seventy-years old and great prejudice is being caused to the petitioner on account of nonadjudication of the application by the concerned authority. 3.

Considering the limited nature of the relief sought in the present petition, the same is disposed of by directing the respondents to expeditiously decide the aforesaid application of the petitioner. Let an endeavour be made to dispose of same within a period of three months from today.
