CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 14.05.2018 Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Parveen Rathee of police station Chanakya Puri. He submits that he has settled the matter with the petitioner of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion vide Settlement/Compromise Deed dated 10th October, 2017, therefore, he is not willing to pursue FIR No. 101/2017 under Sections 323/341/506/34 IPC registered at police station Chanakya Puri and the same may be quashed.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the
interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous.
