Issue notice. Ms. Aliza Alam, learned counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

The petitioner's application for compassionate appointment in the establishment of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, in lieu of his father, Shri Sarju Prasad, Ex-Judicial Assistant, has been rejected by the impugned order dated 29.03.2025.

The petitioner's father, while working as Judicial Assistant, was diagnosed with a condition which has left him disabled. A disability certificate dated 07.03.2024 has been annexed to the writ petition, in which the case of the petitioner's father is described as one of locomotor disability assessed at 60% permanent disability, with a diagnosis of W.P.(C) 11376/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The petitioner's father then sought voluntary retirement from service on this ground by an application dated 31.03.2022. The petitioner thereafter represented on 07.03.2025 for the grant of compassionate appointment.

While the impugned order dated 29.03.2025 mentions that the application has been rejected in terms of Rule 2 of the Amended Scheme for Compassionate Appointment issued in the year 2010 for the District Courts of Delhi, no detailed reasons have been stated. 6.

Dr. M.K. Gahlaut, learned counsel for the petitioner, therefore, submits that the respondent be directed to pass a speaking order, leaving all rights and contentions of the parties open. 7.

Ms. Alam states that a speaking order will be passed within two weeks from today.

The writ petition, alongwith the pending application, is disposed of in terms of these submissions, with liberty to the petitioner to take appropriate remedies, in the event of an adverse order.
