This matter has been received on transfer from the Bench of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Anoop Kumar Mendiratta since the Bench is on leave. 2.

This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.131/2018 under Sections 498A/34 IPC PS Shalimar Bagh on the basis of a settlement arrived at between the parties. Respondent No.2 has filed an affidavit and also appears through VC and duly identified by the IO stating that she has been residing with petitioner No.1 since the last 5 years and differences have already been resolved.

Petitioner Nos.1-4 also appear through VC and duly identified by the IO.

continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.131/2018 under Sections 498A/34 IPC PS Shalimar Bagh and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
