This is a contempt petition filed under Article 215 of the Constitution of India read with the Contempt of Courts (Delhi High Court) Rules, 2025 and Sections 2(b) & 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 seeking contempt proceedings against the respondents for disobedience of the status quo order dated 14.05.2024 passed in W.P.(C) 6893/2024.

The paragraph No. 7 of the said order reads as under:- "7.
In the meanwhile, the parties are directed to maintain Status quo, as regards the title, possession and status of the land in question."

Mr. Monga, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that despite the said directions, the contemnor/ respondent No.3 has carried out construction at the property in question being Pocket-E, Sector-18, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Mr. Singh, learned senior counsel for the respondents, has handed over photographs showing that there is no construction or change of status in the land. He further draws my attention to paragraph Nos. 7 and 8 of the reply, which indicated that the respondent No. 3 has only repaired the boundary wall which had fallen due to passage of time and that too to preserve the land in question from dumping of garbage and from any encroachers.

I am of the view that the stand of the respondent No. 3 is satisfactory and there is no intentional violation of the order dated 14.05.2024. 6.
Binding the respondents to the order dated 14.05.2024, the present petition is disposed of.
