The petitioner is invoking the writ jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of appropriate writ/directions against the respondent Bank for debit freeze imposed on her bank account on some instructions from the RBI initiated on 18.05.2024 based on an „Enhanced Due Diligence‟ („EDD‟).

No one is present for the respondents despite sending advance notice 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has alluded to the email dated 02.08.2024 by the HDFC Bank whereby they have reiterated that the account is not being regularized, on account of instructions received from the RBI. Evidently, in terms of the email letter dated 29.07.2024, the complaint lodged by the petitioner with the Ombudsman has since been registered.

received any date of hearing from the Ombudsman. Since, a complaint has already been lodged with the Ombudsman concerned, it is but apparent that the same has to be decided in accordance with the necessary protocols set up in this regard. The Ombudsman is directed to ensure that the complaint is decided within a period of four weeks after hearing the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. 6.
A copy of this order be given Dasti under the signature of Court Master to the petitioner for information and necessary compliance by the Ombudsman.
