The present Habeas Corpus petition has been filed by Sh. Ravinder Singh, seeking production of his daughter 'Ms. D' who is stated to be missing since 8th August, 2024.

When the matter was taken up, the ld. Standing Counsel has handed over a status report signed by Insp. Rampal, P.S. Ambedkar Nagar, South District. As per the said status report dated 20th August, 2024 the mother of the missing girl lodged a complaint at P.S. Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, South District, Delhi on 8th August, 2024. It is stated that efforts were being made The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
to search the missing girl and she was traced on 10th August, 2024. She in fact visited the police station along with her husband Sh. Gaurav Gupta. The girl met her mother in the station and she refused to go to her house as according to her she got married to one Mr. Gaurav.

The girl is now living with her husband. They have both appeared before the Court. They have handed over a certificate of marriage issued by the District Magistrate which reflects that the marriage has been registered on 22nd July, 2024. The Court has interacted with the girl as also her husband in Chamber. They both are presently living in the Kotla area with the boy's family consisting of parents and his brother. His sister is stated to be married. The boy submits that his family has accepted the girl. Mr. Gaurav runs a general store which is located in Devli. The girl states that she met the boy on Instagram and has known the boy for the last 5 years. Her date of birth is 19th July, 2004 and she is thus 20 years of age.

The Court has also met the father of the missing girl, Sh. Ravinder Singh, who is working with the BSF. Her brother Shashank Raghav is also present in Court today. The only request of the father is that he would like to properly conduct a marriage/reception of his daughter in front of his relatives and friends, to which the husband, Mr. Gaurav has no objection. They have jointly fixed the date for the same as 25th December 2024. 6.
The address of the girl and the boy now is C-289, Pratap Gali, Kotla Mubarak, Lodhi Road, Central Delhi. The phone numbers of the girl and boy have also been given to the father. The father also requests that the girl should meet him at least once a month for a period of 3 years. The boy, Gaurav assures the Court that they both would meet the father at least once a month. 7.
