At the outset, learned APP for the State has handed over a copy of death verification report verifying the factum of death of the appellant on 18.09.2016. The said report is taken on record. Learned APP further states that the statement of son of the appellant was also recorded in this regard and he has stated that he does not wish to pursue the appeal on merits. 2.

In view of the above, the proceedings in the present appeal stands abated and the same is disposed of accordingly.
