At the outset, Ms. Shubhi Gupta, learned APP for the State states upon instructions from the IO that the respondent has since expired and she has handed over a copy of the status report along with death certificate of the respondent and statement of son of the respondent to the effect that his father/respondent Krishan Kant has expired on 27.02.2025. The status report is taken on record.

She further states that in view of the death of the respondent, the present proceedings therefore stand abated.
