This petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No.236/2018 PS Okhla Industrial Area under Sections 354/354A/354D/509 IPC on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties dated 1st March 2024, which is on record of this Court.

Respondent no.2/complainant appears in person and states that she does not wish to pursue proceedings arising out of FIR No.236/2018 any further and has since resolved her issues inter se with petitioner. 3.

As per the settlement, out of total amount of Rs. 5 lakhs, balance outstanding amount of Rs.2,50,000/- is paid to respondent no.2 in the Court today by way of Demand Draft No.202666 drawn on IndusInd Bank dated 31st July 2024.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioner being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.236/2018 PS Okhla Industrial Area under Sections 354/354A/354D/509 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 7.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications are disposed of as infructuous.
