This is a petition filed under section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 2 months for concluding the Arbitral Proceedings and passing the final Award.

Mr. Agarwal, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the arbitral proceedings are at the final stage of making the Award. 3.
For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr Sinha, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and states that he has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.
I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. 6.
Hence, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 2 months from today for concluding the Arbitral Proceedings and passing the final Award.
