O R D E R

% 15.12.2017 Petitioner is father-in-law of respondent no.2. On the complaint of respondent no.2, FIR No. 23/2013 under Sections 354 IPC was registered at police station Vasant Kunj South. It is noted that matrimonial proceedings between the respondent no.2 and son of the petitioner were also pending before the Family Court, South District, Saket Court, New Delhi. In the said proceedings, a settlement was arrived at between the respondent no.2 and son of the petitioner before the Counselling Cell on 22nd September, 2015. Copy of the said settlement agreement has been placed on record at pages 41 to 46. It is submitted that subject matter, involved in the present FIR, was also settled before the Counselling Cell. It is further submitted that marriage

between the petitioner's son and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 7th June, 2016 passed by the Principal Judge, Family Court, Patiala House Court, New Delhi. Petitioner has given two FDRs of `10 lacs each, which are in the name of his grand daughters, namely, Khushi and Kumkum, to the respondent no.2 today in Court.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Pankaj Kumar of police station Vasant Kunj South. She submits that she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed. Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the parties, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
