O R D E R

1.

The present petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.210/2016 registered under Sections 451/354/354A/354B/34 IPC at P.S. Vasant Kunj (North), Delhi, on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, the petitioners entered the respondent No.7's house and inappropriately touched her and threatened her, causing her mental distress.

Learned APP for the State submits that in the present case the petitioners are the only accused persons and respondent Nos.2 to 7 are the complainants/victims. He submits that besides the allegations levelled by the complainants/victim under the aforesaid Sections, there are allegations of beatings being caused to the in-laws of respondent No.7. He further submits that the parties are related to each other.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that the parties have entered into a settlement on 19.02.2020, before Delhi Mediation Centre, Patiala House Court, New Delhi and modified the terms of the aforementioned settlement on 25.04.2022, a copy whereof has been placed on record. In terms of the settlement, the respondent No.7 is now left with no claim or grievance whatsoever against the petitioners. 5.

The petitioners and respondent Nos.2 to 7, who are present in the Court, have been identified by their respective counsels as well as by the Investigating Officer.

The petitioners have shown remorse for their conduct and they undertake not to repeat the same in the future. Respondent Nos.2 to 7 state that they have entered into the aforesaid mediation settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any coercion. They further state that they have no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that there is another connected FIR being FIR No.206/2016 registered under Sections 308/325/323/34 IPC at P.S. Vasant Kunj, New Delhi which has also been quashed vide today's order passed in CRL.M.C. 2796/2023.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

9. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
