(respondent No.3) for a sum of Rs.25,000/- drawn on IndusInd Bank. In terms of the settlement, the requisite amounts, as per the settlement, have been paid to the complainants who are present in Court and duly identified by the Investigating Officer. Respondent No.2 and 3, in reply to a specific Court query submitted that they do not oppose the prayer made by the petitioner seeking quashing of the FIR.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.1280/2022 P.S. Mangol Puri under Sections 279/337/338 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
5.
Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
