The present petition has been filed seeking directions to set aside the order dated 31st March, 2024,1 rejecting Petitioner's application dated 24th August, 2021 for renewal of registration under Section 16 of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010.2 In the alternative, it is prayed that the Respondent must decide the Petitioner's revision application filed against the rejection order, in a time bound manner.

order by preferring a revision application dated 21st June, 2024, under Section 32 of the Act. Till date, no decision thereon has been rendered on this application.

Mr. Ripudaman Bhardwaj, CGSC for the Respondent, states that the Petitioner was required to file the revision application on the e-portal in an electronic format and the same is not found in their record. 4.

In response, counsel for the Petitioner states that the revision application has been duly acknowledged as can be seen from the rubber stamp affixed on the copy of the revision application annexed with the petition. She further submits that the Petitioner was never informed about the online filing process despite repeated follow ups. Nonetheless, in order to have an expeditious disposal of her request, she would submit the application on the e-portal as well.

In light of the above, the present writ petition is disposed with the following directions:

a.

The Petitioner shall submit the revision application under Section 32 of the Act on the e-portal of the Respondent within one week from today. b.

Subject to the above, the Respondent shall take a decision on the revision application and pass a speaking order within two months from today.

All rights and contentions of the parties are left open. 2 "the Act"
