CRL.M.A. 34724/2024 (seeking extension of parole) in W.P.(CRL) 2554/2024 3.

The petitioner seeks extension of parole in order to enable him to apply for Disability Certificate and financial aid grants from the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. 4.

The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, at the outset, submits that the petitioner, being a disabled person, ought not to be denied the financial aid if he is otherwise entitled to it. She submits that the respondent authorities would facilitate the petitioner in applying for Disability Certificate and financial aid grants.

apposite to extend the parole for a further period of three weeks. 6.

The concerned Jail Superintendent is directed to facilitate the petitioner's application for Disability Certificate and financial aid grants from the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.

In case the petitioner is required to be personally present before the concerned Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi for verification or any other purpose, the concerned Jail Superintendent is directed to make efforts for such verification, either in the Jail premises or by taking the petitioner in custody before the concerned Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi on the strength of the present order.

The petitioner is permitted to surrender on or before 25.11.2024.

A copy of the order be sent to the concerned Jail Superintendent for necessary compliance.
