Mr. Jha states that the FIR relates to the year 2012 and the complainant has been dropped by the trial court vide order dated 28.04.2023 and there are only official witnesses. He seeks leave of this court to withdraw the present petition. However, he prays that the trial be expedited as not only the FIR relates to the year 2012 but also the petitioner is awaiting his promotion.

It is informed that the next date of hearing is 12.03.2024 when PW-2, PW-3 and investigating officer have been summoned by the trial court. 3.

Considering the aforesaid, the trial court is directed to make endeavour to complete the trial within three months from the next date of hearing. The IO shall also ensure that all the prosecution witnesses are duly summoned and offered for examination.

The petition is disposed of.
