This is a petition filed under Sections 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

In the present case, the Agreement had gone for stamping and hence, there was a delay.

On the last date, the respondent No. 1 had sought time to file a reply. However, there is no reply filed.

There is nobody appearing on behalf of the respondent No. 1 today. 5.

Ms. Suri, learned counsel for the respondent No. 2 has no objection to the present petition being allowed.

For the reasons noted above, I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay.

is extended by a period of 6 months to make and publish the award. 8.
