Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Perused contents of the petition along with Annexures thereof. 3.

Pleaded and argued case is that the petitioner and her husband are major and it is their first marriage. Both are adults, wife 22 years old and husband 36 years old. Thus, they are fully capable and legally competent to take decision to choose their respective life partners. They apprehend threat at the hands of private respondents as they have married against their wish by exercising choice of partner.

In the premise, petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent Nos.1 to 6, Superintendent Of Police, Shahdara; SHO P.S. Shahdara respectively, to verify or get verified the threat perception of the petitioner and her husband. If warranted, requisite steps be taken, in accordance with law for grant of protection of life and liberty to the petitioner and her husband as they apprehend threat at the hands of private respondents. It is clarified that this order shall neither be treated as a stamp of this Court qua marriage of the petitioner and her husband nor any reflection on the merits of the contentions raised by them in the present petition. 5.
