Present writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of directions to the Respondent No.1/RCS to immediately convene the Committee constituted under Rule 90 of the Delhi Co-operative Societies Rules, 2007 ("DCS Rules") and recommend the name of the petitioners for membership. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners are members of the respondent no.2/Society holding share certificates dated 24th September, 2019 in their favour. He states that vide letter dated 21st October, 2019, the respondent no.2/Society requested the respondent no.1/RCS for approval for enrolment of the petitioners, as per Schedule-VII of the DCS Rules.

He states that on 31st May, 2023, the petitioners were informed that the proposal of their membership has been approved by the respondent no.l/RCS and the matter has been placed before the Committee constituted under Rule 90 of the DCS Rules. He states that since 2019, the petitioners are awaiting clearance of their membership.

Keeping in view the limited relief sought, the present writ petition and application are disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.1/RCS to place the petitioners' case before the Rule 90 Committee within four weeks, if not placed earlier, who in turn, is directed to decide the same in accordance with law within a further period of four weeks.
