The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, has been filed on behalf of the petitioner, praying as follows: "(a) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus thereby directing the Respondent no.! to consider the case of petitioner for admission in PG MSC Anthropology and further directed him to open the admission portal for depositing the fee for the admission;

(b) issue a writ, order or direction thereby directing the respondent no. 2 to conduct the third round for admission in CW-Quota as seats are still vacant and further directed him to complete the admission process with regard to admission of petitioner and to complete the other formalities if any."

respondent no. 1 i.e. University of Delhi states that the spot counseling is scheduled to begin from tomorrow, i.e. 28.08.2024; and therefore the petitioner can apply for admission under Children Welfare the Armed Forces Quota, from tomorrow onwards.
