Both Petitions under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 ("BNSS") has been filed on behalf of the Petitioners for quashing of FIR No.0294/2017 under Sections 324/506/34 IPC, registered at The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Govindpuri, Delhi and FIR No.0263/2017 under Sections 427/452/323/506/34 IPC, registered at PS: Govindpuri, Delhi and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, in terms of Mediation Settlement dated 18.12.2024.

Learned ASC and APP for the State along with learned Counsel for the private Respondents appearing on advance Notice, accept Notice. 4.
Brief facts of the case are that Petitioners and Respondents are neighbors and there dispute over parking of vehicles between them. 5.
It is further submitted that on 04.07.2017, on complaint of Respondent No.2 in CRL.M.C.5293/2025, FIR No.0263/2017 under Sections 427/452/ 323/506/34 IPC and on 26.07.2017, on complaint of Roshan Lal [Respondent No.2 in W.P.(CRL.)1588/2025], FIR No.0294/2017 under Sections 324/506/ 34 IPC, both were registered at PS: Govindpuri, Delhi. 6.
It is submitted that these cross-FIRs were consequence of dispute between Petitioners and private Respondents over parking of vehicles. It is stated that the Petitioners and private Respondents have amicably settled all the disputes and differences between them vide Mediation Settlement dated 18.12.2024.

The parties are present before this Court in-person today and have been identified by their learned Counsel and Investigating Officer. 8.
In view of Mediation Settlement dated 18.12.2024, present Petitions have been filed.

The parties have endorsed the amicable Settlement and accepted the terms thereof voluntarily and have undertaken to remain bound by the terms of the Settlement.

The parties have submitted that all the disputes have been amicably settled vide Mediation Settlement dated 18.12.2024 and thus, no fruitful purpose will be served in continuing with the FIR. 11.
The present Petition has been signed by the Petitioners and is supported by their Affidavits. The parties have reaffirmed the terms of Mediation Settlement dated 18.12.2024 and they submit that the said Settlement has been arrived at between the parties, without any pressure and coercion. 12.
Private Respondents in both cases state that they have no objection if their respective FIRs are quashed.

In view of the above facts that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will and without any coercion and also the fact that the present matter is a matter between neighbours, no useful purpose will be served in continuing with the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto.

Moreover, there is no legal impediment in quashing the aforesaid FIRs in question.

Consequently, FIR No.0294/2017 under Sections 324/506/34 IPC and FIR No.0263/2017 under Sections 427/452/323/506/34 IPC both registered at PS: Govindpuri, Delhi and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
