The present petition has been filed under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent on advance notice does not oppose the aforesaid request. It is stated by the counsel that the arbitration proceedings are at the stage of final hearing and are likely to be concluded shortly.

This is the first time the parties have approached the Court for extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal. 4.
Accordingly, the mandate of the Arbitrator is extended for a further period of six (6) months from today.

Counsel for the parties submit that the mandate had otherwise expired on 10th July, 2025.
