Pleaded case is that both petitioners are major and it is their first marriage. Both are adults, wife is 22 years old and husband is 23 years old and, thus fully capable and legally competent to take decision to choose their respective life partners.

In the premise, petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 1, SHO, Police Station Burari to verify or get verified the threat perception of the petitioners. If warranted, requisite steps be taken, in accordance with law for grant of protection of life and liberty to the petitioners as they apprehend threat at the hands of private respondent nos. 2 & 4.
