The petitioner/wife seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent/husband for wilful disobedience of several directions passed by the learned Mahila Court, thereby not making the payment of amount of interim maintenance.

None appeared on behalf of the respondent despite sending advance notice.

It is acknowledged by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the execution application has already been submitted with the learned Mahila Court for enforcement of its powers.

Inviting the attention of the learned counsel for the petitioner to Section 31 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to pursue her remedies before the learned Mahila Court in accordance with law.
