O R D E R

% 26.10.2018 Having perused the status report dated 08.02.2018 filed by the counsel representing the Public Works Department and the communication dated 22.10.2018 which indicates that the Department of Urban Development, Govt. of NCT of Delhi had approached Indian Institute of Public W.P. (C) 1977/2014

Administration (IIPA) and Indian Institute Management, Ahmedabad (IIM) for commissioning a study on the issues involved and after getting their proposals a Committee has been constituted on 29.05.2017. It is further indicated that the said proposals have been approved by the Committee and the same is under consideration of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi and appropriate action will be taken.

We are satisfied with the action taken by UOI and GNCTD and we dispose of the matter with the hope that positive results will come out of the deliberations, recommendations and the study made and the issue with regard to implementation of measures for providing free access to public places to physically challenged persons would be sorted out in an appropriate manner in conformity with the observations made by this Court in orders dated 11.02.2015, 29.04.2016, 03.02.2017 and 17.03.2017.
