This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.298/2022, PS Seemapuri under Section 307 IPC. The complainants are present before this Court and state that the petitioner is their old and close friend with whom there was an altercation and it resulted into the FIR being registered. The petitioner is also present in Court and duly identified by the IO. The settlement dated 20th August, 2024 stating that the parties have amicably resolved their issues and do not with to pursue this proceeding. 2.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.298/2022, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. PS Seemapuri under Section 307 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
