The petitioner is invoking the extraordinary jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking directions against respondent No.1/Axis Bank as well as respondent No.2/Directorate of Enforcement, with regard to the operation of its bank account with respondent No.1.

None appeared on behalf of the respondents despite sending advance notice.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for now, they confine their relief only to the extent that the petitioner may be allowed to operate its bank account except as to the amount frozen in The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. terms of the directions/order dated 26.03.2024 passed by the Deputy Director of the Enforcement Directorate.

Shorn of unnecessary details, it appears that the petitioner has received an e-mail dated 27.03.2024, whereby it is informed that its account has been frozen on account of a notice received from the Directorate of Enforcement. Learned counsel for the petitioner has alluded to the order dated 26.03.2024 by respondent No.2, whereby as per Schedule-A, its name is indicated at Sl. No. 64 and the amount in the account has been ordered to be attached to the extent of Rs. 1,15,799/-.

It is but apparent that the action taken by respondent No.1 in attaching the entire account of the petitioner is questionable. 8.
As none appeared on behalf of the respondents, let the present writ petition be disposed of with directions to the respondent no.1 to consider the present writ petition as a representation on behalf of the petitioner for allowing it to operate the bank account in accordance with law. A reasoned order be passed within 15 days from today after hearing the petitioner.

Let a copy of this Order be served upon the learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.1 as well as respondent no. 2 . 10.
A copy of this Order be given dasti to learned counsel for the petitioner for information to the concerned Branch Manager and for necessary compliance.
