This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 12 months w.e.f. 30.05.2025.

Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to Agreement dated 08.08.2014, three-member Arbitral Tribunal was constituted to adjudicate the disputes. From time to time, mandate of learned Arbitral Tribunal was extended and lastly by a period of 12 months vide order dated 30.05.2024 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 445/2024. The mandate has thus expired on 30.05.2025. It is stated in the petition that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final arguments, however, owing to voluminous record as also complexity of the issues involved, a further period of 12 months will be required to pronounce and publish the award. Issue notice.

Mr. Saurabh Mishra, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal. 5.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 12 months from 08.08.2025 and period between 31.05.2025 to 07.08.2025 is regularized. 6.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
