The present petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Counsel for the respondent who appears on advance notice, supports the petition. He submits that the matter is at an advance stage of hearing before the Arbitral Tribunal.

To be noted, vide order dated 20th December, 2024 the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal was extended till 31st August, 2025. 4.

In view of the above, the present petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a further period of six (6) months from 31st August, 2025.

Counsel for the parties shall cooperate with the Arbitral Tribunal and not take adjournments so that the award can be rendered within the period extended above.
