Petitioner, who is a 26 years old girl, is seeking maintenance from her father by filing a petition under Section 20(3) read with Section 23 of Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, 1956.

The prayer in the present petition is limited to the effect that the learned Trial Court may be directed to expedite the trial and to dispose of the case in a time-bound manner.

Admittedly, the petition was filed in the year 2022 and the case is already at the stage of PE.

Learned counsel for respondent appears on advance notice and accepts notice. He submits that there was never any intention to delay the proceedings and, at the same time, he also assures that his client would extend best assistance to the learned Trial Court so that the matter is expedited. 5.

In view of the above, no further order is required to be passed in the present matter and the petition is disposed of with the direction that both the parties would give their cooperation in this regard so that the learned Trial Court is in a position to dispose of the matter, as expeditiously as possible. 6.
