The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of the India read with Section 528 of the BNSS, 2023 (earlier Section 482 of Cr.P.C.) has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 412/2024 registered under Sections 498/406/34 of IPC at Police Station Dayal Pur, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom.

Counsel for the petitioners seeks short accommodation to enable petitioner no. 1 (husband) to comply with the terms of the settlement which is stated to have been arrived between the parties. 3.

respondent no. 2, who is present in person along with her father. She states that neither any settlement has been arrived at nor even otherwise she wishes to enter into any settlement. The petitioners want her to agree on their dotted lines and she has been put under extreme pressure by way of coercion and duress to accept the same against her wishes. 4.

In view of the aforesaid, I find no grounds to interfere. 5.

The petition is dismissed accordingly.

In case the parties in future arrive at a settlement, the petitioners shall be at liberty to file a fresh petition.
