the year 2017 and till date, the charges have not been framed for one reason or the other. It is contended that the delay is on the part of the accused persons as they have regularly sought exemptions. 3.
Learned APP for the State, on instructions, submits that in the present proceedings, the investigation has concluded and that no supplementary challan has to be filed, as is also apparent from a copy of the chargesheet placed on record.
4.
Without going into the merits of the contentions and considering that in both the cases, the FIR pertains to the investigation conducted a decade back and the chargesheets having been filed in the year 2017, this Court deems it apposite to direct the Trial Court to ensure that the proceedings be held expeditiously.
5.
In view of the above, the present petitions are disposed of alongwith the pending applications.
6.
Let a copy of this order be communicated to the concerned trial court for information and necessary compliance.
