The grievance of the petitioner is essentially that its representation dated 17.08.2023 to the respondent, regarding cancellation of stage-I forest clearance dated 15.05.2015, stage-II forest clearance dated 27.10.2022, as well as environment clearance dated 06.07.2015 granted in favour of M/s West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd. for its Panchwara North Coal Mine (situated in Pakur forest division of District Pakur in Jharkhand State), has not been decided.

Learned counsel for the respondent refutes that the representation of the petitioner was ever received. However, after some hearing, it is agreed that the present petition itself would be treated as a representation, and the same shall be disposed of by passing a reasoned order under intimation to the petitioner.
