This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2.

The petition under Section 2(b), 2(c)(ii), 2(c)(iii) and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 seeks the following prayers: - "i) Initiate contempt proceedings against the contemnors and punish them in accordance with law for contempt of order dated 22.01.2025 in PIL having WP (C) 780 of 2025 titled Rajni Versus MCD and Ors.

ii) Direct the contemnors to comply with the order dated 22.01.2025 in PIL having WP (C) 780 of 2025 titled Rajni Versus MCD and Ors.

iii) Direct the contemnors to ensure that the street lights are installed/repaired in the concerned areas mentioned in the representation dated 03.05.25 annexed has ANNEXURE C4 from pg 51 to 52 pg.

iv) Pass such other orders as the Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case in favour of the petitioners and against the contemnors."

Vide order dated 22.01.2025, learned Division Bench of this Court in W.P.(C) 780/2025, passed the following directions: - "4. We make it clear that the decision on the representation, as directed above shall be taken by the competent authority of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, strictly in accordance with law. Our order will also not be construed as any reflection on the merit of the claim made by the petitioner.

5. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands finally disposed of.

6. We also direct that in case, on consideration of the representation preferred by the petitioner, any deficiency in any civic amenities are found, the authorities shall rectify the same within the minimum possible time."

Admittedly, the aforesaid representation has been disposed of by the respondent vide communication dated 05.03.2025 which has been annexed with the present petition. It has been informed in the said communication that the steps taken by the respondent.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the steps have still not been taken.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent submits that as recorded in the aforesaid communication, steps have been taken. It is further stated that the same would be taken to its logical ends. 7.

In view of the above, no further orders are called for. The present petition is disposed of.
