% 29.11.2016 On 19th October, 2016 petitioner and respondent have settled the matter.
In terms of the settlement, petitioner has paid `50,000/- to the respondent vide a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. As per the settlement, let the amount, lying deposited in this Court together with interest accrued thereon, be released to the respondent by the Registry.
In view of the settlement, offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 is permitted to be compounded. Petitioner is acquitted.
