By way of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner seeks further modification of the order dated 03.10.2023, whereby the order of the Office of D.G., Prisons, New Delhi dated 22.06.2023 releasing the petitioner on furlough was modified. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not been able to avail the benefit of the said order granting him furlough as he was unable to arrange two sureties. Though the said order was subsequently modified vide order dated 03.10.2023 by asking for one surety instead of two, however, the petitioner could not arrange even one surety and has continued to remain incarcerated. The petition seeks further modification of the said order and submits that he would be able to furnish cash surety instead of arranging surety.

The petitioner is stated to have undergone more than 16 years of imprisonment. indicates that the petitioner was thrice released on parole and was also released on furlough, a concession which he has not allegedly misused. 4.
On the last date of hearing, the petitioner's address was directed to be verified. A status report has been placed on record, as per which the petitioner's address stands verified.

Considering the aforesaid, the order dated 22.06.2023, modified on 03.10.2023 is further modified to the extent that instead of furnishing surety, the petitioner would furnish cash surety in the sum of Rs. 5000/-. 6.
