After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the bail application at this stage. He, however, prays that considering the import of the testimony of the prosecutrix as well as the fact that eight witnesses have been dropped and only three witnesses remain to be examined, the trial be expedited.

Leave, as prayed for, is granted. The bail application is dismissed as withdrawn.

However, considering the aforesaid facts as also the fact that the applicant has been in custody since 26.02.2022, the Trial Court is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within a period of three months from the next date of hearing.
