Writ Petition under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India has been filed with a prayer that the Police be directed to safeguard and protect the life and liberty of the Petitioner to remove his name from the History Sheet/Register No. 11.

In the Petition, it is mentioned that E-FIR No. 0136/2019 was registered under Sections 356/379/411/34 IPC at P.S. Janakpuri on 23.01.2019. Another FIR No. 0037/2019 was registered under the Arms Act. Third FIR No. 0459/2020 was registered under Sections 323/325/342/506/34 IPC at P.S. Moti Nagar.

The matter was settled in the Lok Adalat. Learned MM, Delhi passed an Order acquitting the Petitioner of all the charges against him, which has attained finality.

of FIR No. 0459/2020, P.S. Moti Nagar, as it had been amicably settled and the same was also quashed by this Court.

It is claimed that on 18.04.2024, the Respondents No. 3 and 4 from P.S. Moti Nagar, came to the house of the Petitioner. The parents enquired about the purpose of their visit, they bluntly stated that the Petitioner is a Bad Character, to send him to the Police Station or else he will be arrested and put behind the bars.

The written representation dated 22.04.2024 was sent to the DCP, West District Delhi. The Petitioner also sent a Letter dated 22.04.2024 to the Vigilance Department, Delhi against the atrocities and harassment made by the local Police, namely, Ramesh Kumar Meena and Rajender Singh. Hence, a prayer is made that directions be given for protection of the Petitioner. 7.

From the perusal of the Petition, it appears that there is no alleged Respondents No. 3 and 4. Furthermore, the only averment which emerges is that the Police had visited his house for making an enquiry since he was a Bad Character. There is nothing in the Complaint to show that there exists any threat to his life and no directions, as sought can be given. However, it is needless to say that the Police is required to act within the mandates of law. 8.

Petition is accordingly disposed of.
