The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. on behalf of the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No.847/2021 registered under Section 354D IPC and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 at P.S. Bindapur, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

The present FIR is registered on the complaint of respondent No.2 alleging that the petitioner has been sending inappropriate messages online. 3.
Mr. Sanjeev Sabharwal, learned APP for the State submits that in the present case petitioner is the only accused and respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the parties have settled their disputes vide Settlement Agreement dated 07.12.2023. In terms of the settlement, respondent No.2 is now left with no claim or grievance against the petitioner.

as well as by I.O./ Inspector Sanjay Kumar. Respondent No. 2, who is also present in Court, has been identified by the I.O. 6.
Respondent No. 2 states that she has settled her disputes with petitioner of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. 7.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed subject to cost of Rs.50,000/- to be paid to respondent No.2 by way of demand draft through the I.O.

Proof evidencing receipt of payment shall be filed with the I.O. as well as in Court.

In case the proof of payment of cost to respondent No.2 has not been filed within two weeks, the registry to place the matter before the Court. 12.
With the above directions, the petition is disposed of alongwith miscellaneous application.
