O R D E R

The present petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioners seeking quashing of FIR No. 144/2016 registered under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC at P.S. CWC Nanak Pura, New Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 (wife) and petitioners. 3.

Mr. Nawal Kishore Jha, learned APP for the State, submits that in the present case petitioners are the only accused persons and respondent No. 2 is the complainant.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that after ironing out their differences the parties have settled their disputes and are happily living together since November 2021.

Petitioners and respondent no.2 are present in Court and have been identified by their counsels as well as by the IO/ ASI Mahesh Kumar PS CWC Nanakpura, New Delhi. Respondent No. 2 states that she has been happily living with her husband i.e., petitioner since November 2021 and as of now she has no complaint against her husband. She further states that she is giving this statement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She also states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of along with pending applications.
