The Petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as "Cr.P.C., 1973") has been filed on behalf of the petitioner, seeking to quash the FIR No. 343/2019, for the offence punishable under Sections 354A/354B/506/509 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereinafter referred to as "IPC, 1860") registered at Police Station Katju Marg, District Rohini, Delhi.

The parties submit that at one point of time, they had known to each other from their college time. After some time, the complainant had no inclination to talk to the petitioner, who insisted her and consequently, the incident happened.

It is further submitted that on 26.08.2019, on the complaint of respondent No. 2, an FIR bearing No. 343/2019, for the offence punishable under Sections 354A/354D/506/509 of the IPC, got registered at Police Station K.N. Katju Marg, District Rohini, Delhi. 8.
It is stated that after mutual discussions, the petitioner No. 1 and the respondent No. 2 have amicably settled all the disputes and differences between them and arrived at Settlement dated 18.07.2024, before the Notary Public, Rohini, Delhi wherein it was inter alia settled between the parties that the complainant shall settle all her claims/disputes with the petitioner, without any monetary consideration. It is stated that the petitioner shall tender unconditional apology to the complainant, which shall be accepted by the complainant. It is further stated that the petitioner shall bear all the cost of litigation and shall not interfere in the life of the complainant in any manner.

In view of the Settlement dated 18.07.2024, the present petition has been filed.

The parties are present before this Court in-person today, and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer concerned. The parties have endorsed the amicable settlement and accepted the terms thereof voluntarily.

The present petition has been signed by the petitioner and is supported by his affidavit. The parties have reaffirmed the terms of the settlement arrived at vide Settlement dated 18.07.2024 and they also submit that the said Settlement dated 18.07.2024 has been arrived at between the parties without any pressure and coercion.

Today, the complainant/respondent No. 2, who is present in Court, states that she has no objection if the FIR is quashed. 14.
In view of the above facts that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will and without any coercion and also considering the nature of the complaint, no useful purpose will be served in continuing with the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. 15.
Moreover, there is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

Accordingly, FIR No. 343/2019 for the offence punishable under Sections 354A/354d/506/509 of IPC, 1860, registered at Police Station K.N. Katju Marg, District Rohini, Delhi and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

The Petition stands disposed of.
