% 09.01.2024 By way of the present petition filed under section 29-A (4) and 29-A (5) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of 12 months with effect from 14.10.2023, when the last mandate expired.

Notice on this petition was issued on 21.12.2023. 3.
Ms. Maya Ramesh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent submits, that the respondent has no objection to the prayer being allowed.

The record shows that the learned Sole Arbitrator entered upon reference and the arbitral proceedings commenced on 08.05.2021, whereafter consensual extension of mandate was granted by the parties.

Learned counsel appearing for the parties jointly submit that the matter is now nearing conclusion, since written synopses have been directed to be filed, whereupon the learned Sole Arbitrator would reserve the decision in the matter.

In the circumstances, the petition is allowed, thereby extending the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of 06 months from today, with a further direction that all proceedings conducted after the previous mandate expired on 14.10.2023, shall also stand regularised. 7.
The petition stands disposed-of in the above terms. 8.
Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed-of.
